Gas / Petrol Prices

Fortunately we do not have a set nor regular reason to go or travel anywhere, either by Jeep or RV.  Therefore, when camping we usually go on short excursions* or to go shopping (*Excursion (noun) a short journey or trip, especially one engaged in as a leisure activity).

We try to choose camp sites that allow us to walk to the places we want to go.

Right as we started traveling, Operation EF was launched and it quickly turned to a FE war with Iran.  Gas prices shot up, and even now they are about 30% higher.

The Van gets about seven miles to the gallon and it has an 80 gallon tank. So in January of this year it cost about $184 to fill up.  Now it costs $284, which is about 55% more. (So much for “less than 2 dollars” gas!).

Luckily for us, high petrol prices are not a major problem. But millions of folks across the world are needlessly struggling as a result, including some of our family.
