Returning to Kentucky☹️

We left Dunedin and allow several days (and stops) to get back to Kentucky.

We could not find a place to stay for the first stop so we thought we’d wing-it and find a Walmart. We eventually found one south of Atlanta in McDonough GA.

We did some grocery shopping and returned to our Parking Lot Home. Had dinner, watched TV, then went to bed.

At 11:15 there was a knock on our door! It was Walmart’s security telling us that we could not stay there, and we had to leave.

So we plotted a course for the nearest Cracker Barrel (9 miles away), and drove there in our jammies.

Next we found an ‘Un-manned’ gated site in Tifton. This place was immaculate and made for a easy overnight stay.

The next stop was at a Harvest Host called Raise A Glass Farm in Forsyth GA.

This place was odd because there was no one there. We set up camp, had a cuppa, wandered around the farm, had dinner, did some more wandering, and still not a soul in sight.

We began to wonder if we would be responsible for feeding the livestock😆

More Guinea Fowl.

We stopped at a Rest Stop on an island in the Tennessee River.

One of best Rest Stops we have seen

And for our final stop in Cave City, two memorable moments.

Cave Country RV Resort was a lovely and well kept place with trees and good sites. The brochure recommended El Acapulco Mexican restaurant. Lisa had to call since we could not order online. Lisa yelled at the top of her lungs “CAN I PLACE AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY”, and got the reply “No comprende”.

Eventually the delivery guy arrived and handed Lisa our dinner. She thanked him nicely and he replied “Honey, I’d be happy to take care of you anytime”

Bloody cheek!

The next morning I was on patrol walking around the Van when I almost stepped on this guy.

I’d like to say that I had a close shave with a deadly viper or copperhead. Alas no, it was just a harmless Rat Snake (unless you happen to be a rat).

We finally reached E-Town RV park, set up camp, and Lisa marched off to do laundry.
