On Our Way From Sacramento to Eureka

Our 300-mile, five hour journey from Sacramento to Eureka, took us past Clearlake.  We stopped to take a few photos.

As you can see from the map, much of the road runs along the edge of the lake. This road is also lined with the houses of people who live there, and many businesses. I wish we could have taken pictures because the eclectic collection of houses and buildings was entirely fascinating. It reminded us of the brilliant movie The Goonies which was filmed in in Astoria, Oregon which is 9-10 hours north of where we are now (Eureka).
