Desert Island

Beneath the exposed naked sun is a parched earth torched by months of cloudless and rainless skies.

.

There’s barely a breath of wind except for the occasional gust that rattles the dry dead leaves and causes dust to swirl.

.

Cobwebs, old and new adorn every nook and cranny of the dry lifeless buildings.

.

Only silence, no birds, no insects. Few animals can survive upon the desiccated earth.

.

🎶🎶🎶 “Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, air conditioning fill my dreams” 🎶🎶🎶🎶

(Led Zepelin 1975)

.

The age old country is now silent, barren, and devoid of life giving water and air conditioning.
